AU 2052 Daily Ideas 3/1/2014   -Adilas flex zone timeline drawing (Sketch of flex zones or virtual waiting rooms, with checkpoints and permissions, and time going in either direction.) (See scan in photo gallery)
-Life has to have some flex zones or small waiting rooms.
-There may be things that are unfinished – that’s okay, they will stay in the flex zones until they are ready. When ready, they may be advanced to the next stage.
-There will be time – just keep going.
-Instead of just one timeline (like the graphic or drawing above), there are multiple time lines working together. Time, itself, has many one-to-many relationships. They all play into the bigger whole but are made up of tiny little individual pieces and parts, kind of interesting.
-We have a client that is looking for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) pieces and functions. Steve has done a little bit of research and we’ll only start heading in that direction if needed. EDI is basically a way for one or more computers to talk to each other.

Notes from a phone call with Steve on 3/1/14.

- Let our developers build their own clientele. Our reps already do this on their own.
- Our current top three priorities are:
o Package stuff,
o Split Cart functions (interface),
o API (application programming interface) & 3rd party plug-ins.

- Custom documents are a good profit center for adilas. This could include:
o Documents
o EDI – Electronic Data Interchange
o Outside Feeds
o Internal Feeds
o Loyalty Points
o Customer Gift Cards
o Labels
o Barcodes
o RFID
o Reoccurring push/pull actions
- Maybe think about bulking up or beefing up the custom pipes or custom documents area.

- Use the barcode generator (if possible) for some of the custom pieces. If needs be, we could always create a new barcode generator or custom label app if we needed something more robust.
- Packaging and subs of part numbers or subs of item numbers.
- The deeper we get, the more elements of time appear to be connected to everything else in the system.
- Packages and conversions are almost one in the same. One is limited or quantified and the other is open ended or unlimited.
- Should we make a whole new item type??? A mix between a stock/unit and a general part? What about backward compatibility (people wanting to go backwards)???
- Steve kept using the phrase “occurrence of…” or “instance of…” when talking about tracking packages. Virtual usage.
- The naming has to be dynamic… Just like in elements of time.
- Batch, packages, reports
- Maybe store dynamic parameters (actual JSON objects) inside of the subs for time called sub comments. These fields are big, they accept HTML, and they are already a sub of time.

- Maybe use time for packaging and expiration dates as if it was manufacturing. Think both retail and manufacturing of packages, lots, batches, etc.
- On part categories… what if we allowed categories to be stacked inside and/or on top of other categories. Allow it to go as deep as it needs to go.
- If we let simple objects connect to each other and to themselves, how do you go back up the chain? I am talking about showing the relationships. Instead of simple nested part categories… what if it were people connected to other people (say like genealogy). The person exists as a single object, they could then be connected to other people or other objects to create a relationship. The relationship then helps to define how they interact and any dependencies or other independent states that exist. It basically starts forming the story as the objects and data move or interact over time.
- Make the teaching graphics available, to all users, that we use when doing adilas demos and training sessions. Add a muffin tin, add the dream it up, and add a cup and plate model with an underlying platter or bigger tray. Think stacking objects.
- Teach base level core concepts like operations and accounting.
- We are going to need a sales and setup team inside of adilas. Help them sell what we have!
- Our best sales people are involved in the setup process.
- Create a small setup team using existing persons.
- Do weekly demo meeting to help get awareness up.

- On packaging… what about packages of packages or deep one-to-many relationships?
- Packaging may need its own barcode. This could be something simple or it could be cryptic for a main time id, something in the middle, and then a sub of time. Just trying to get ideas.
- On elements of time… We have the “anything” sub – pools and subs. We need to get that ready for use.
- Packages may contain more than one item. Possible mixed items.
- The mother is “time” – then anything that gets applied will be the sub.
- Moving items from a “shelf” to a “package” or subset. Think about moving pieces into other pieces. Basically, it is all mini manufacturing or internal builds.
- Show the usage over time.
- Elements of time… this becomes the master.
- “Any” scheduler – everything needs to be tied to elements of time.
- Push out the developer’s notebook – stake our claim on some of these emerging ideas – do it in a fashion that helps build and share. Remember, “The rising tide raises all boats.” I think the real quote says “ships” but I like boats better. Ships seem so big. Anyway, help raise the tide!
- Work smarter, not harder.
- Allow all or “any” of the pieces inside of adilas to be plugged into time or into an element of time.

- The different report types are:
o Calendar
o Time slot
o Grouped
o Details
o Advanced (pick & choose)
o Subs and stats
o Export to Excel
o Time Line Horizontal (new)
o Time Line Vertical (new)
o Other Formats (new & futuristic)

- What if we used Cold Fusion to dump and display objects inline using a cf dump tag. This may have a place, especially in the API documentation and testing zone.
- We would like to set up a number of adilas training centers. This could be a great business for us and/or other interested parties.
- Prep for a demo meeting.
- Use Bridgerland as our first adilas training center. It is a great fit and is already in use.
- Pass out flyers for the free demo. Maybe pay a team member $10/hour to pass out flyers.
- We are shooting for 50 new clients.
- Do the weekly demos on Thursday night from 6-8pm.
- Use BATC (Bridgerland) or the Business Resource Center for the software demos.
- Maybe show a calendar on the main login page. Have drill-downs to different details, photos, links, and other content.
- Have the same calendar show-up on the adilas training page. Start using elements of time.
- Get adilas university up and live with help files, developer’s notebook, and training and videos.

AU 2924 March 2014 Monthly Recap 3/1/2014   This month adilas started holding weekly demos called “Cloud Software Demo – Challenging and Breaking Traditions”. A robotics teacher participated at one of these demos and helped contribute to a great discussion on how adilas is an assembly line for business data and business processes. From this session, and realizing the customization potential and flexibility behind this full business system application, he helped express some ideas that have been adapted to become a new adilas catch phrase, “Your data, your world, your way!”.

The adilas developers and interns spent a great deal of time working on larger scaled projects such as the media/content server and mapping the adilas API. Extensive amounts of time have been spent planning, writing code, testing, signing off on code, and so forth, as these projects have gone to deeper phases of development. Adilas developers also received a request for their first custom PDF label this month.

The option to assign default expense types per vendor was added this month, as well as the PayPal merchant processing gateway. Other working projects included payroll state tax withholding, photo galleries, increasing the auto increment maximums for invoices and quotes, and more. Adilas also held it's reoccurring, free monthly training event at Bridgerland in Logan, UT.

*We hope you are enjoying the adilas developer's notebook! Please utilize and explore the vast search capabilities of adilas to find more information throughout the developer's notebook. For further questions, or help, please feel free to contact us at: support@adilas.biz.

Platform deals with allowing other parties and companies to build on what you have put in place. A business platform has underlying pieces that can be reconfigured and tweaked to get the desired functionality. You don't have to rebuild the whole thing each time, you just change one or more of the settings or permissions and the application is capable of playing in the new arena. That is platform.

Adi 845 Ice down date idea 3/5/2014   We need to have each main homepage display the last 30 days of activity regardless of date.
This would really help with the play sites and help clients that are slow going to 'see' data.

When thinking about this an idea came about, have the code search for the most recent result and then show 30 days behind that date.

This will solve some of the problems that the ice down date would do and should be easier to accomplish code wise. This way if a client accidently puts in a date 1 year in the future the homepage would only display one result thus showing the user that the date needs to be backed up.

AU 2045 Daily Tasks 3/5/2014   • Recording notes and working on organizing my notes, pages, and brainstorming papers.
• Went in to Bridgerland. My dad drove me in, so, no miles. I worked with an intern on getting in to payroll withholdings for state tax calcs. We found a small state tax setting error for the state of Colorado. An intern spent some time updating his local database with the correct changes. These changes still need to be pushed up to live servers. I also spent some time with another intern working on the adilas API calls and backend application.
• Working on updating the Colorado state tax settings. Started to build an update page that updates settings in bulk. Decided to have an intern help and get involved in the pages and update process.

AU 2046 Daily Tasks 3/6/2014   • Went in to Bridgerland to work with the interns. I worked with an intern on an update page for state tax calcs. I’m trying to get an intern ready to work on payroll, withholdings, and state tax settings. All of the federal stuff is done for this year but we have lots of state withholdings that need to be done. Towards the end of the day, I worked with the other intern on the PayPal gateway integration and sign-off. Technically the PayPal gateway is ready to go once we launch the files. 30 miles.

• Went over to the Cache Business Resource Center and setup for our first ever weekly public software demo. Our subject was: Cloud Software Demo – Challenging & Breaking Tradition. It started out okay and we were bouncing around talking about business functions and how, we, at adilas, are handling these functions and processes. We covered online expense tracking, web presence and eCommerce, and then some backend office and Accounting functions. My dad was there and had a couple questions and comments. My sister was also there and helping to take notes, comment, and do the GoToMeeting stuff. We had a number of people online and we were doing great. About half way through the demo a guy that works with robotics poked his head in and participated in the discussion. He basically asked questions for the next whole hour of the demo. It was perfect and he asked some great questions and made great comments. It was really fun. See some of the other notes on some of the stuff that he said. Anyway, it was a great session and I really enjoyed it and learned a ton! Good stuff!

AU 2054 Daily Ideas 3/6/2014   Notes from the first adilas demo and from a guy who teaches robotics at Bridgerland.

-For the next demo… I would like to bring a banner, flyers, markers for the board, signs about where we are at, drinks, and all of the adilas toys (scanners, printers, card readers, barcode printers, barcode scanners, digital cameras, etc.)
-World building – what does that mean and to what level are we talking about? How far do we want to take it? How far do you want to take it?
-We offer the tools to make and create your own virtual assemble line. Processes or data points.
-The robotics teacher, during the demo, really caught on to the data and process assembly line concept. He loved the fact that one, it existed, and two, that is was customizable. He thought that we should focus more on that vs. permissions and settings which allow us to do that. In selling terms – you sell the “sizzle” not the “stake”. I loved it!

More notes from the first weekly demo that we did and ideas and notes from the robotics teacher.

-Questions for people… Do you have any custom processes? What are your data points? How many places of entry do you have? Where is your pain?
-We then come back and show how we can fill those needs. We have both custom and flexibility that are ready out of the box.
-“This may be the only system that you need.” – Robotics teacher.
-“Your data, your system, your world, your way.” Great little tag line for adilas – the “any” thing software. Dream it up! We’ll help you wire it up!
-You control the process and your own virtual data assembly line.
-There was a lot of focus on the words “you” and “your” and “yours”. Kind of interesting.

-At the end of the demo the teacher went back to check on his class. After a couple of minutes, he came back while we were taking things down. He basically said, “You need to start selling this thing! It is ready! Put a stamp on it! You’re done!” This was dealing with me not letting it go because it isn’t done yet. I know that I need to get out of the way and let people come in and use our product. I’m trying to get out of the way! I really am!
-Adilas – the “anything” software!

-On training and demos… Help to solve problems, relieve pain and pressure points, help people! The pain could be disconnected systems, multiple points of entry, complicated processes, data tracking needs, bulk management, relationships between pieces and players, etc.
-Explore and expand the social side of the web and customer interactions. This could be log files, follow-ups, elements of time, sub dates and time, sub comments, sub sign-offs, etc. Maybe allow some of these pieces to be used and interacted with from the customer login portal side.
-On the customer web interactions – think about how companies want to interact with their customers. Currently most pieces of the communication train are verbal, email, written, etc. What if you could put everything all together in one place and allow interactions from both internal sources and external sources (customers and end users). That could be really cool!

-What if we allowed some of the adilas CRM (customer relationship management) stuff to have a customer side to it. Meaning, the customer was able to log on and both see and interact with what is going on with their projects and pieces.
-We may need some new settings to allow or deny access. We will also need show/hide options so that we could specify between internal, external, and admin only options.

Adi 846 Expense Favorites 3/7/2014   Working on favorite expenses for the trucking industry and thought that adilas needs expense favorites that we could park on the search_receipt_payee.cfm
See the American Trucking play site homepage.
custom_trucking_home.cfm

I'm thinking of an image tag that when clicked will push the vendor id and the chart of accounts id to the add_edit_receipt.cfm

This way we could also use these buttons anywhere such as a custom interface for payables, or any page (in the future) a client desires.

Adi 847 New tag line - Your Data, Your System, Your World, Your Way! 3/8/2014   On 3/6/14 we had our first ever weekly sales demo. We called it "Cloud Software Demo - Challenging & Breaking Tradition". As part of the demo a guy by the name of Matt Fuller really caught on to the concept of a virtual data or process assembly line. He loved that it was super customizable. By the time the demo was done, he was highly recommending that we sell that part of adilas... After hashing some things around, we came up with something like this: Your Data, Your System, Your World, Your Way! This could be a great little tag line for the adilas "any" thing software package. You dream it up, we'll help you wire it up!

Sell the "Sizzle" not the "Stake"!

AU 2047 Daily Tasks 3/8/2014   • Browsing the adilas site and checking usage for different companies.
• Recording notes in notebook, reviewing to do lists, and trying to get organized. Added a couple new graphics to the adilas class and teaching photo gallery. Light research on robotic assembly lines. I want to draw a parallel between a robotic assembly line for actual products and an assembly line for business processes and business data. As a note, see elements of time inside adilas university. Do a search for “robot” and then do another search for “assembly line”. There are some good entries there.
• Research on 3D printers and making objects. Emails, tech support, and recording notes.

• On the phone with Steve and another developer who is setting up a page crawling engine to pull certain eCommerce and web data out of the adilas web services database for mutual clients. The data being extracted is only web settings for customer eCommerce inventory. Basically, this 3rd party engine will browse a company’s inventory and pull out names, descriptions, and prices. It then shows this data on its own server and just points to adilas servers if the viewer is interested in shopping or purchasing. It is kind of like a shopping app for specific industries.
• Small tweaks on the adilas web presence and eCommerce pages. Added some links and changed some default values. Posted files online and let the 3rd party developer know about changes.
• Changed the time zones for day light savings on all servers. Small tweaks to the developer’s helper page on the data 1 and data 2 boxes.
• Made a few changes to a client’s website. Posted files online.

AU 2055 Daily Ideas 3/8/2014   -Elements of time may play multiple roles in both eCommerce and CRM. We need to be able to bill for time, pay for time, charge according to time, and view progress over time. Basically, time needs to play on both sides of the fence… internally and externally.
-We have had a number of requests to show the payables page by location. That is possible but would require us to look things up further down the line. As a note, the location value is set per line items and may be split between locations. Most of the payables info is a mix of the main amount minus the sum of the payments. Technically the pieces are stored in different tables but our end users want one page that is able to search and combine multiple tables and search criteria.
-We have also had a number of requests to be able to sort stock/units on the web. That might require one or more web sort settings.

AU 2048 Daily Tasks 3/10/2014   • On the phone with Steve going over our current game plan. Paid some bills and did some email stuff.
• Working with an intern on bulk updates for state tax withholdings. He had made a bulk update page. We check out the code and then had him do the actual updates on live databases and live servers. I spent some time recording notes in my notebook.
• Working with another intern on the adilas API. We went over current code and talked about vision and direction for recording and documenting the API calls, functions, and pages. Good session.

• Paying bills, recording information about selling adilas, emails, and planning.
• Reviewing notes. Lots of good ideas have been recorded. I’m excited to circle back around and do some of the projects that have been listed and recorded.
• Working on allowing a default expense type to be passed to the add expense/receipt page. Steve needed this functionality for a truck driving site.

AU 2056 Daily Ideas 3/10/2014   -A mix between customers, time, and eCommerce is building potential. This may require more settings or in-line custom code. Not sure where all it is going but I’m seeing more and more demand to be able to mix and blend these pieces. It may also require some custom API (application programming interface) settings to make it happen.

AU 2049 Daily Tasks 3/11/2014   • On the phone with Steve going over current and upcoming projects. We talked about stock/unit settings, API code, eCommerce, and merchant processing. We also talked about getting our developers to bid out their own jobs and projects.
• Emails.
• Working on the default expense types per vendor. Reviewing notes. Added two new fields to the payee table. They are a notes filed and a field to hold default expense types per payee. As a note, payees hold both vendors and employee/users.
• Working on adding payee notes and defaults expense types for payees. Cascading code and values to different pages.

AU 2057 Daily Ideas 3/11/2014   -Steve called and said that we may need a couple more corp-wide settings for stock/units. They are things that deal with terms like “inventory” and “sold”. This could be current, in progress, done, completed, processed, finished, etc. This only deals with specific units but may need to be part of the stock/unit settings.
-We have had a few requests to be able to set the starting numbers for invoices, PO’s, expenses, and deposits. There may be others, but those would be good corp-wide settings. My thoughts are to have the person put in a fake one and then update that record with the new number.

AU 2058 Daily Ideas 3/12/2014   -I had the thought that it would be cool if we could add any system player or individual object to elements of time from the main object itself. This is really important from stock/units and general parts but may also be important from all other main player groups. This is how you could make a reservation or check reservations on an object. I could also see this type of usage if you wanted to create a group, batch, or package. Mix and combine whatever you want from the source. In a way this (from the main objects to time) is the opposite of the "any" scheduler and dealing with pools and sub groups. That (the “any” scheduler) is from time to objects. This note deals with objects assigned to time vs. time assigned to objects. Basically, we need both directions.

AU 2051 Daily Tasks 3/13/2014   • Went in to Bridgerland to work with an intern on the media/content project. We worked all morning on the advanced media/content search page and the advanced results page. Adding a “refine your search” option to the page. Another intern came over and brought lunch for the other intern and myself.
After lunch, the other intern and I did a whiteboard session on the flow for the adilas API (application programming interface) calls. The whiteboard really helps to visually display the pieces. Another huge help is to have each person with a marker. If the other person can translate the subject into his/her own language, it really helps the subject to stick.
• An intern and I ended up on the physical upload section for the media content section. 30 miles.

• Went over to the West Campus to do the weekly adilas demo. This is the second weekly demo. We started out with just my sister and myself and an adilas rep online. She had some inventory questions so we started there. We went over PO’s, parts, items, barcodes, and how to track things using the RFID tags and manual packaging options. My mom and my aunt came by and they helped lead the rest of the demo. She had some data tracking questions and we tried to listen and then do some consulting/showing her how to accomplish her goals using adilas. It really helps to have someone with real questions. If we can help them out, it makes our product that much more valuable. We talked about using a mix of tools to get the job done. For my aunt’s job, we ended up going over customers, flex grid, and small elements of time. Great demo and training session. After the session, my sister and I chatted about the future, current development, and goals for where things are headed. I am very grateful for wonderful help from tons of different people. It makes a huge difference. A few of the current helpers are my wife, my sister, my mom and dad, Steve, David, Shari, Craig, the developers, my brothers, and many others. I am also very grateful for tons of help from above. My Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers – time and time again! Very grateful!

AU 2073 Daily Ideas 3/13/2014   -Add the media/content as part of the adilas quick search. People or users might want to get to their files as quick as possible. This could be really cool.
-Allow people to rephrase or explain what they understand. That really helps in both learning and teaching. Basically that step of reprocessing helps it to stick and stay better.

During the weekly demo, I used my marker and went over how we could use elements of time to help automate and track packaging and RFID tags over time. Here are some notes and ideas….

-Add subs and pieces to a time event in bulk and mix the pieces as needed. Use a PO to populate the time event and setup the pieces. The subs of time could hold hands with one or more products or items. The subs of time may be treated as a bulk item – say 36 of product X, all on one line, or as individual pieces – say 36 of product X on 36 different lines. Most PO’s are recorded in bulk. Subs of elements of time could be done in bulk or they could help to individually track a single instance or occurrence of an item.

-Each line or sub of time could hold settings like cost, quantity, and even a unique barcode per line item. Once again as bulk pieces or individual line items.
-We could use the budget settings on elements of time for the totals – both expected totals and totals used or accounted for. This could help us know if we have all of the pieces or if the package, batch, or lot is fully used or accounted for.
-We could use the target date settings for expiration dates. Or we could add a physical expiration date to the subs of time. Make it specific to our needs for packaging, lots, batches, and groups.

-We could use the done or finished flag on elements of time to help us know if a package has been fully accounted for.
-The subs of time for packages will need to connect three of the main pieces of the puzzle. Those pieces are PO line items, parts and items, and invoice line items. This is where we go from bulk to individuals. There still may be some pain between bulk tracking and individual tracking – they are different monsters but need to play well together. We may need some tools to go between the two pieces.

-On elements of time, it may be cool if we could name certain parts of the main elements of time such as target date, finished or done flag, and budget settings. These are pieces that may be bolted on to elements of time but we currently can’t control their naming. The key word there is “currently”. We could add more template settings in a heartbeat. Then if we were only dealing with a certain template, we could switch to that verbage. If we mixed templates, we could check for similarities and use custom verbage if possible. If not, no problem, we could use things like budget settings, finished flags, and target dates. Those would be the defaults but the custom verbage could overwrite those defaults if used. Piece of cake.

-On the subs of time for packaging … we need to be able to create smaller unique barcodes that will tie the items back to the elements of time or package. These little barcodes could help do some reverse look-ups and get prices, costs, RFID tag numbers, package details, etc. Think backwards.
-Make all of the other barcode fields and options have the keyword “auto” as a feature. This could be: “flx” for flex grid tie-in, “cfb” for cart favorite buttons, “rb” for recipe/builds, and “eot” for elements of time. These values would then append the actual id or line id as needed. We could then do a reverse look-up to get additional details and know what to do. Basically, we could use the barcodes to go backwards up the chain. The computer or system could be programmed to play according to specific mappings (barcodes with id numbers), the human side could use a simple barcode scanner to get at the advanced functionality behind the scenes. That could be very powerful!

-If needed, we could even allow subs of time for packaging to play according to tiered pricing structures held on smart group buttons. This would be a mix between packaging and flexible pricing and quantity matrixes. Wow, that is a lot of moving pieces… And then to think, we have to take it all the way back to the accounting level. Then again, if we use an object and track it over time, it is capable of holding its own luggage and details. Tell and record the story and then map back to it. It is possible! It may be hard, but it is possible!
-Recording notes, thoughts, ideas, actions, answers to prayers, inspiration, etc., is very important. In a small way, by doing so, you can let go and you don’t have to stress as hard to remember everything. You can just go back and look things up. What a great blessing!

AU 2059 Daily Tasks 3/15/2014   • Emails and tech support. Started working on a new admin feature to help update the max number of the auto increment (auto number) for quotes and invoices. Eventually, we would like to expand this function to all of the main system player groups.
• Working on the update auto increment page and function.

• On the phone with Steve helping him out with a custom CSV (comma separated values) files that he needs to create. His skills are really improving on the code side.
• Went over to my dad’s house to work with him on adilas videos and adilas commercials. We looked at footage, still shots, audio files, and options for voice over. We talked about options for laser focused training clips for adilas. It looks like I’m going to need to get more into the video editing and editing process (eventually). We talked about making adilas consumable. Almost to the pill or capsule level. This deals with laser focused training pieces. Lots of potential and tons of powerful tools. 20 miles.
• Recording notes from loose pages and brainstorming on future developments for elements of time. Lots of good ideas for RFID tags and subs of time for packaging.

AU 2074 Daily Ideas 3/15/2014   -I have to record this… It is now 9:30pm on Saturday 3/15/14. I’ve had a very full day. First thing this morning, I wrote this on a scratch piece of paper “No new projects”. I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed and this morning I was really stressing things. Sometimes I don’t know how to deal with things and I end up stressing. This morning, the words “no new projects” helped me get started on the day. As the day progressed and as different things happen or happened, my stress level changed and I’m much more open to going forward. Sometimes it is crazy to look back and see the rollercoaster of life and how things play out. I have found that little, small feelings of peace can go a long way. Sometimes all we can do is go from a small taste of peace until we get the next little piece. Peace is almost like food for the soul.

• Emails and tech support.
• Emails, phone calls, and follow-up on different things. Called and changed some reoccurring billing settings for adilas. On the phone with my sister going over upcoming plans and direction.
• More work on the change auto increment number page. It potentially touches a number of sub pieces. Going through the database looking for all possible connections to invoices.
• A developer came over and we worked on the adilas API calls and backend processing page. It is getting closer and closer to being done.
• Another developer came over and we started working on the adilas user guide. We converted files into normal HTML files (from ColdFusion) and then started working through things. Good session.
• Working on the update page for changing invoice numbers. As a note, invoices touch 23 different tables in the database. That is a ton of sub or possible connections.

AU 2075 Daily Ideas 3/17/2014   -I keep thinking about schools and some of their needs. I think about lunch cards, grades, student tracking, elements of time, document management, training, and other pieces. As a note, the school lunch card idea is the exact same as a gift card or pre-paid card of some type. That would be a great project to tackle here soon.

-In our cups and plates model we may want to add a new cup or bucket for assigned or attached elements of time. Maybe make it bucket #10. Currently there are nine others. They are:
1. Main
2. Line Items
3. Payments
4. System History
5. Flex Grid Tie-Ins
6. Special Subs & Relationships
7. Photos & Scans
8. Custom Documents
9. Other Content
10. Elements of time (this would be the new one)

-Some people may want a perfectly matched software system to their industry. Think about electricity. It can be used by tons of different industries. The electricity is the same. The way it is used varies drastically. Adilas is kind of like the electricity, everybody gets the whole package.
-Worms and cans of worms. Every door you open could potentially be a can of worms. Tons of interdependent pieces. My dad said, “Hold the worms, more fish are coming!” Kind of funny. He has said that they, at their house, have things called “worm wars”. This is where they put a worm into the chicken pen and then watch the young chicks run around and have worm wars. Sometimes we think of cans of worms as bad things. That is not always the case. I loved how he spun the topic of cans of worms into fun and positive pieces. Good stuff! Focus on the positive.

• Testing code on the auto number stuff for quotes and invoices. Started working on a piece that updates physical files and photos. Kind of deep file management and clean-up that is tied to the code to actually change numbers. Another developer came over and we got him working on the user guide. I had the other developer help him out and get started. He was doing good and setting up small pages and templates for the meet the players section of the user guide.

• Working on the update max quote number section. Testing code and signing off on code.
• On the phone with my sister going over setup options for her first client. We went to POS World and looked at barcode printers, label makers, barcode scanners, and receipt printers. We also talked about how to track consignment items through the system.
• Added new files to live servers for the auto number options. Updated help files and added permissions to all servers for the upcoming media/content section.

AU 2077 Daily Ideas 3/19/2014   -How firm a foundation! Build a solid base. That will support the whole.
-On demos, maybe think about start to finish role play scenarios. The key would be start to finish processes. This idea came from one of the adilas developers.
-While working with a developer on the adilas API (application programming interface), we were talking about how easy we wanted to make the API calls. We decided that we need to be at the “fast food level” as far as speed and ease of use. Make it easy for outside parties to use and consume.
-“Sizzle” – flexibility, options, custom, life cycle, check points, dynamic over time. Sell the “what”, show the “how”, and explain the “why”.

We added some css to the page. We also figured out a folder naming convention. Great session and we had some good breakthroughs. 30 miles.
• Went to the Cache Business Resource Center for the weekly demo. We had some clients on the phone. We ended up giving them an hour long personal session. They requested a few new changes and we showed them some of the new features. After that, my sister and I spent the last hour brainstorming on what we have to offer. We used the 12 main business functions as the guide and then went through section by section. Really exciting stuff.

AU 2078 Daily Ideas 3/20/2014   -2 (two) notches off of max – that is a good level for pushing it without breaking. If you need a bit more, it is there. If you run at max, and need a bit more, you have no more to give – you’re maxed! So, 2 notches off of max is a good life goal.

-Check image folders for all corps, both active and inactive. We may have missed some during migration.
-When ready, update all folder names with hash values.
-When updating folders with hash values, remember the remote web image calls on the web presence servers. Also remember to update paths for eCommerce images.
-While talking to a client, he would like to see the flex grid for part numbers show up on the mini add line item page for invoices and PO’s. This is the page that allows a user to add a line item by searching for both PO’s and invoices.

-Make a list of functions that we, at adilas, provide for businesses. Break it down into main ideas and subs of subs if needed. Put this page up on adilas and us it for training.
-Brainstorm on what we can do – start to finish.
-Rework the training flyer and sell the “sizzle”. Maybe change from a training flyer to a seminar flyer.
-Quote from my sister while we were cleaning up from the weekly demo. “Faith is focusing on what you know… that is what gives you the courage to step into the unknown… because you have faith and trust in what you do know.”
-In adilas, we let you pick and choose, mix and blend. What a great concept!

Adi 850 Custom Code - Shipping Rates 3/23/2014   I have a couple of things to report from speaking with Matt at Lush. He said that he would like to get the custom piece for shipping in place so please let me know what we need for that. I told him it would run $100-200 and he said that's fine. Also I let him know about the hourly bill you'll be sending him.

AU 2079 Daily Ideas 3/23/2014   -Tons of ideas on marketing and direction. It is time to get this thing out to the people. Yee haw!

Marketing ideas on a free digital timecard section:

-Run the free digital timecards as a promotion or promotional idea.
-Almost everybody or everyone has employees. This is kind of a great equalizer and intro into our system.
-Make and have 4 super friendly interfaces with options for users, departments, managers, and admin.
-Add a departmental login option similar to one we made for a client in Logan.
-Have specific training that is free. Or offer onsite live training at an hourly rate.
-This push might help us (adilas) to finish up one whole piece all the way through.
-This includes forms, reports, training, interfaces, etc.

-We need all of the state withholdings.
-Timecards are a great transition to other paid features inside of adilas. Lots of cause and effects.
-Go forward in faith knowing that God will help you!
-If we had other reps and salespersons, we could start with digital timecards and payroll. Then go on to other pieces as needed.
-Use the map to show users and timecards in the very heart of the application.
-This could be the feeder for everything else. It is standard, it is needed, it is limited in scope, it could be expanded, and it is one of our oldest pieces of the puzzle. Very stable.
-This is how we got started.

-Going beyond free… Maybe $17 per month plus a $1 per seat (user fee).
-Maybe charge per module. Maybe another $17 per module. Just an idea.
-Maybe a $5 core charge. $10 per location. $1 per user, and $1 per bank. That comes to $17. Those are the required pieces.
- $5 – core charge (adilas account or world charge)
- $10 – location (per)
- $1 – per seat of per user
- $1 – per bank
- =$17 – minimum to run on adilas

• Working on corp-wide settings for stock/units. Steve needs this for one of his clients. Fixed the new payee settings dealing with notes and default expense types.
• Setup a new corporation for a new client in Logan. Light logo work and setup the corporation. This is my sister’s first account.
• Emails and tech support. Long email for a company that is doing an industry specific live menu or shopping channel type site.
• Went in to town to meet with a contact and my dad. She has done lots of corporate training and HR stuff. She has been a trainer for about 10 years. She would make a great consultant and adilas trainer. 30 miles.
• On the phone with my brother going over the plan for video editing and work options.
• A developer came over to my house. We got him new files and then spent a couple of hours signing off on his API code for Full Circle.

AU 2067 Daily Tasks 3/25/2014   • Working on the stock/unit corp-wide settings.
• Went in to Bridgerland for day one of the adilas training seminar. We had a power packed day with sales, inventory tracking, PO’s (Point of Sale) functions, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and online expense tracking. We tried to focus on start to finish processes. We did a fun consignment exercise all the way through. At the end of the day, my sister and I did some brainstorming on other functions and pieces that adilas provides. We are trying more and more to focus on functions and what we can do to help people. Great session. 30 miles.

AU 2080 Daily Ideas 3/25/2014   -Apply knowledge and learning! The key is to apply what you know.
-Show how and what people and companies are doing with the adilas system.
-Go back through the stock/unit settings and go over them with a fine tooth comb. The first go around was kind of fast and quick. We especially need to check action pages for units, stock numbers, makes and models.

AU 2068 Daily Tasks 3/26/2014   • Working on stock/unit corp-wide settings. Posted a number of files online.
• Went in to Bridgerland for day two of the March adilas training. We had a great session and covered lots of potential. We started with timecards and payroll and then elements of time. We then moved on to data relationships (both natural and special), and then expanded those relationships with cause and effect backend accounting functions. We also had a great lunch topic about project management and tracking learning modules. A class participant had some great questions and input. It is fun to see people start connecting the dots and getting it. We used tons and tons of drawings today to connect things together. It was almost like sewing and stitching, adding one piece at a time. My mom was the other star student along with this other class participant. We sold a lot of potential today. This is one of our biggest offerings. 30 miles.
• Emails and tech support. I’ve got a lot of new logos that need to be put up and online. Good stuff.

-On the content server stuff. Saw an error on connecting to a remote https on the content server.
-This is a drawing that my mom did on the board during lunch on day two of the March adilas training seminar. (Two sketches – please see scan in photo gallery. 1 – This is a normal company using different software packages to run their business. 2 – This is what we do when using adilas!)

• Went in to Bridgerland for day three of the March adilas training seminar. We had a great session and all of us learned tons and tons. I got rebuked for apologizing for things that are not done. I’ll try to focus on what is done instead. We covered topics of histories, reports, searching, exporting, business intelligence (BI), web presence, eCommerce, big data, and virtual data portal stuff. One of my favorites was the business intelligence sections. We did quite a bit of class based brainstorming and got some great notes and ideas. Once again, both a friend (class participant) and my mom were the star students. Great session. We also had a wonderful lunch whiteboard session. See elements of time #2007 inside of adilas university site for pictures of the lunch brainstorming session. 30 miles.

AU 2083 Daily Ideas 3/28/2014   -Use scrolling horizontal graphics to tell a story. A good example of this is how the creation of the world is depicted in movies. Main pieces are shown and your mind fills in the gaps to create the story and the connections.
-We need the roll call page very soon.
-This was a breakthrough for me… It is okay to add subs to main items. Not everything that is time based needs to be a sub of time. Let each piece flow and fall naturally. Even though it has or plays with time, be flexible and don’t try to force it. Try to mimic nature.
-Clear off the work bench. – Idea came from one of the developers.

It is crazy how much our fears keep us bound. So, I’m going to let it go! Game on! Let’s see what we can do! I’m excited for new potential.
