Working some more on the sub queue stuff. I then joined a Zoom meeting with Russell. He was pitching and proposing a new customizable dashboard that he and Steve were talking about. Basically, it was a drag and drop board that could show tons of different options, widgets, and components. He proposed a PHP (open source - server-side scripting environment) option so that other developers would be able to add/edit content and widgets with ease. We went over some demos and other visual stuff that Russell has been gathering and researching. They have some great ideas and can show similar concepts using other tools and such. Lots of potential. We also talked about other smaller modules such as getters, setters, and such. Russell also wants to make the model and/or platform very open. Basically, imagine being able to mix and blend different sites, software packages, web sites, and other tools all into one dashboard-type interface. Almost a year ago, Russell said - "Adilas is a great companion software package for any business." He is trying to push that to a new level and with open arms, embrace multiple different tools and options. Pretty cool idea. Some of what he wants to do is allow for sub widgets, custom widgets, iframes, and other CSS popups, menus, and off canvas options and menus. Cool stuff. |
