-We need to provide updates on what we are working on and what is new. -We need a payables rework – we need to break things into 0-30, 30-60, 60-90, 90-180, 180-360, and over 360 for aging. -We need a section for sales and promotions that are tied to time, dates and even small segments of time. -Lots of requests to be able to change the thumbnail images. Also take off the force on the height. -We are also getting more requests for MS Excel, MS Word, PDF, jpg, etc. People want to store different kinds of content. -We are getting more and more requests for the custom report builder functionality. The old form of this was called “mend and repair” in the old system. -On the flex grid – we need the ability to set specific data types per field. These are things like text, date, numeric, Boolean, etc. That way we could do calculations, ranges, etc. Things that you can’t do with text fields directly. Just an idea, we could run data through a conversion type function (force apples to apples) and then do some sorting or filtering. We could also create and use temp tables if it got to that point (convert, filter, report, destroy the temp). This could be done over and over or we could figure out a more permanent solution. My goal as the developer would be to make the solution be as light as possible so that every record didn’t have to carry a huge extra data burden (tons of unused fields, flags and indexes). Keep it light and quick. |
