Notes:
-On elements of time for the developer’s notebook – I would like to create a monthly recap time template. In that or those entries, I would like to upload full notebook pages in sequence for the month. All of the other entries will have date specific tasks and ideas. The image galleries for those pages will also be specific for that date. The month end or monthly recap entries will have a basic recap and then pages and pages of raw notebook files (photos and scans). This may be a good spot for someone to go and then virtually look right at the physical notebook pages vs. going day by day and then browsing entries.
-Observation about searches and drill-downs – Almost any report or relationship may be pulled as part of a report (simple). This includes special hardcoded and/or dynamic filters. The power of adilas is allowing for those reports to be searched or drilled-down into the underlying data. The drill-down provides the evidence or support of the sum or grouping. The reason for this comment deals with bottom level is flexible and dynamic, you can then build groups and sums on top of that. If you start with the group or sum, you may need to build each drill-down as its own sub report. So, in a way, if you start with a dynamic result, you can build on it as a base. If you start with a grouping, you will either need to make it a standalone value or create a custom drill-down report to support it. The more groups you want, potentially, the greater number of supporting results or reports you will need. If the bottom level is already flexible and dynamic, you can pass data back and forth to give the illusion of supporting details. It (the flexible and dynamic bottom level) also allows a user to get right to that data without going through an upper grouping. Anyway, just an observation.
-Once we get all of the eCommerce stuff done – we may want to change the default web presence address to the main adilas.biz domain name. Sometimes the webservices don’t fully match what is really there. Either that or we need to sync things up better. If we do use the main adilas.biz site, all the data is live vs. relying on a webservice synchronization.
-We need to allow small images on the part category section. It will add more color to the page. I also got an idea from a contact at BATC to add a category switcher at the top of the search result page for eCommerce.
