Notes:
• On the phone with my brother going over graphics and future projects.
• On the phone with Steve talking about training and upcoming projects and needs. Steve was very excited about getting help from interns and such. I took a whole page of notes. They will be recorded later on. It was fun to feel Steve’s excitement. Great phone call.
• Recording notes from day three of the adilas training.
• Worked on the custom pages for our teacher associate and the teacher/student interface.
• Went in to town with my sister to go meet with a contact up at USU.
• She and I talked about ideas for adilas all the way to our appointment. When we got there, he wasn’t there. So we chatted and talked with a student who was also waiting for Dave. As we chatted, he mentioned that he has done some sales, had some graphic experience, and may be interested in a job. He seemed like a nice kid. 30 miles.
• After that my sister and I met with our contact we had intended to meet with. It kind of started out a little rough but go better. After a while he made a call to another professor who works in information systems. He hung around for a little bit and then left. My sister and I finished our visit with the other professor and his son. It was mostly concept and vision. At the end, he showed us a project that he was working on. It had a nice graphical feel and he was using some new technologies. It was nice to see. I can’t wait for adilas to have a fun skin on top of it. On the way home, my sister and I talked about how nobody gets adilas at first. It seems to take some time to get people into a new mind set. Education is huge!
• Went over to Bridgerland to pick up the adilas laptop. Talked with dad a bit and then headed home.
• Working with my brother on adilas video clips and such. I gave him a copy of the new August adilas training stuff. Once he gets done with the other footage, he will start on that section.
• Previewing and checking out video footage from my brother. Started squeezing video clips.
• More work on our teacher’s custom teacher/student project. The custom part deals with core data tracking. We have a page that grabs custom flex grid fields and builds a dynamic menu of sorts. Walking through each section line by line. Not very hard, it just takes time.
