The form at the top may be used as often as you like. Enter the date and submit the form to show the number of loyalty points and their value as of that date. Once you click look-up values, you will see how many records are available to clear as of that date. This top form doesn't hurt anything. It's just a look-up. Repeat the process as many times as you need for whatever dates.

The lower form is the actual bulk clear section. Use this to perform an action against the database. What will really happen is the database will look-up customer/clients who have points. It will then make a new manual entry to clear those points. You will still see the original history; the new entry will just adjust the math to make those points of no effect. Here are some fields and what they do and/or mean.

Clear/Effective Date: Select the date for which you want to bulk zero out the points. The new manual entry will be made as if it was on this clear/effective date. Any points accrued after the selected date will remain untouched.

Special Clear Notes: You must enter at least three characters in the notes. This is global and will be applied to every record that gets cleared. Example: "Points expired on xyz date. Auto rolled to 0." or "Annual Clear-out"

Are You Sure?: Default is No, Not Yet. You must toggle to Yes, Do It in order to clear out all loyalty points.

Clear Next Set: This is the bottom submit button. The bulk clear logic can handle 1,000 records at a time. If you have more than 1,000 records, you will need to click 'Clear Next Set' again for each batch of 1,000 until you reach zero.

At the top of the page, you will see a success message as you clear points. You will also see how many transactions still remain, as well as how many remaining points and their dollar value, based on the simple look-up date. As a small note, there are no tools to reverse this process. If you zero out something and didn't mean to, you will need to go back and edit the new manual entry to either change it to 0 points or make it inactive. Please be careful.
