Add/Edit Special Account Transaction
This is the add/edit page for special account transactions. As a note, most of the adding to the special accounts is done through automated processes. If you are editing values, we do record and save a history of what was changed and who it was that was making the changes. This helps protect all parties involved.

This is a list of fields and some of their values:

Transaction Id - This will either be the string "new", meaning the add mode or add a new record or it will be an actual numeric id (meaning edit or update mode). This number is an auto number and is assigned behind the scenes by the database.

Special Account Name - This is the special account name. The goal here is to help you know what record and/or transaction you are dealing with. The name of the special account is controlled by your corporation administrator through settings.

Special Assignment Info - This is where you assign certain customers, special sub accounts, gift card numbers, or other special assignments. This helps setup a system where each sub account is unique and searchable by some sort of number, either text based, numeric based, or mixed alpha-numeric account number. Each assignement has underlying pieces that allow it to be assigned to a customer, a vendor, a user, or a general person (not tied to record in the database - general tie-in)..

Application type - Choose from the list provided. These are the 12 main player groups such as invoices, expense/receipts, customers, quotes, parts/items, stock/units, deposits, balance sheet items, etc.

Main Id - This main id has an id of 0 by default. If used, it works in conjunction with the application type. For example, if you choose an application type of invoice and then enter a main id, you are virtually tying in the special account transaction to say invoice # 444 or PO # 555. The two work together in combo to create a pointer to the main players and their data.

Customer Id - Use 1 if unknown. If known, and the transaction is tied to a customer, enter their customer id number. There is a link to open up another window to look-up that id number.

Vendor/Payee Id - Use 1 if unknown. This allows a transaction to be tied to either a vendor and/or a user. The payee id deals with both of those values. This could be for things like vendor credits, ownership records, etc. This is the vendor/user (payee) tie-in option.

Points Value - Use 0 if unknown. This is where the points value gets entered in. This value must be numeric. Decimals are allowed.

Dollar Value - Use 0 if unknown. This is where the dollar value gets entered in. This value must be numeric and may contain decimals. As a note, some transactions have both a point value and a dollar value and some only have just one or the other.

Notes - This is where any special notes for the transaction are stored. Help to record and maintain the story behind the transactions.

Status - Choose from the list provided. Active means use/show and inactive means don't use/hide.
