Cart Swap Parent/Child Line Item
This page is designed to help swap or convert parent line items into the correct sub inventory or child items or packages. Whether it is for compliance reasons or just trying to be spot on, for your inventory, this page exists so that you can really record what is happening. Each sub inventory batch or package has a special id number. That number reflects through the system and helps with tracking, inventory levels, perfect cost of goods, etc.

This page is divided into three main sections. The top portion shows the main parent line item. There are multiple links from this section into the actual parent item details.

The middle section shows all possible subs for the parent. These are the child items or packages that you may choose from. Anything that gets a valid number in the quantity field will be used. This is a great way to virtually split up the subs. It is ok to add values to more than one field. Anything that is left blank will be skipped.

The bottom most section allows for you to scan items individually. For example, say we have a bunch of candy bars. If they are individually labeled, you could scan each one and it would give you the chance to add those to the cart. It does the same thing as the middle section (above) but it allows for you to scan the barcode, the sub id, or the RFID tag. As a note, the word RFID tag is a setting and may be changed as needed.

As a note, the double or two button submit process helps for users who are using or are integrated with a barcode scanner. The default action for a scanner is to scan the barcode and hit enter. If that were allowed, the page would only allow for one item at a time. The double submit button blocks all enter key values until the whole page is ready. Once it is enabled (first click) it may be submitted for processing.
