Adilas.biz 3D World Building and Business World Building concepts.

3D World Building or Business World Building
The concepts of 3D World Building or Business World Building have been in the works for years. Adilas didn't start out with world building as the main goal. It kinda evolved from just taking one step after another, trying to solve our own business needs. As the story started to unfold, and as we got deeper and deeper into this project, it began to open up a bigger picture of sorts. The further we go down the road, the more we are seeing that 3D World Building and Business World Building are going to be a bigger and bigger focus for us. We at adilas.biz are actively trying to teach and educate our users in how things work and play together to make a whole system. The three main dimensions or 3D levels are:
  1. x = Time
  2. y = Money
  3. z = Space
Time is the x axis (bottom or horizontal side to side). Time goes in both known directions (forward and backward). Time can easily be broken down into segments, parts, or standard blocks. For example: Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, etc. Time deals with events, checkpoints, stamps, actions, reactions, histories, aging, and flow. Time is a great base to build on. Lots of different but standard levels to build on.

Money is the y axis (vertical or up and down). What happens to money over time? It goes up and down and all over the place... :) That is called business. Money is made. Money is spent. Money is owed (to and from). Money moves, stays, grows, decreases, comes in, goes out, and even flexes sometimes. A broader term for money (the full y axis spectrum) is resource tracking. If you think of the y axis as money or resources, it may allow you to expand your vision of what is being tracked on this axis. Tracking all of those changes in money and different resources deals with an accountability of sorts. Accountability can also be called accounting.

Space is the z axis (depth or front to back). Space is how things are organized, wrapped, layered, stacked, packaged, etc. Space deals with what surrounds us and how we deal with that. That could be processes, movement, flow, storage, changing from this to that (states & statuses), tons of details, summed up into groups, etc. How are things organized? Think of your desk... Why do you put certain pieces in certain places? It is your space that helps you figure out where things go. Space could be as simple as assigning a location, adding something to a group, selecting a category, applying a type, and much more. Space sort of fills in the gaps and creates that depth between characters and relationships. When I think of space, I think of surroundings and how things are presented and/or organized. Space is definitely the depth or layering component of the three dimensions. Some other good words for space are things like scope, depth, details, and levels. You get the idea.

So, when you mix all three levels or dimensions, you get 3D World Building or Business World Building. In a way, the goal is not just the operations. Not just the accounting. Not just the spatial elements such as scope, depth, or organization of your data. The goal becomes the capturing of the story or a way of virtually telling and recording what is going on. It is the story that brings the dates, times, numbers, locations, and groups together. Mixing all of the pieces together gives the values (data) or players (characters - pretend like it is a game) life or almost a personality. For example: Say all you know is we have $5,000 on 25th of October. That doesn't mean that much if that is all you get. But if you knew that the $5,000 on the 25th of October came from 20 different invoices at a single location that were collected and then deposited by John. That helps the story. Say you also had all of the underlying details of what each invoice was holding, what each customer bought or purchased, how much money was paid and how much was still owed... You could see inventory levels, notes, histories, trends, states, statuses, and other important details. Now you are getting a story. That is the goal!

The entire adilas.biz business platform is built on 12 main core concepts. Many of these concepts are virtually pointing back to 3D World Building and Business World Building pieces. On a bit of a historical note, the concepts of world building actually come from writers, authors, and screen play writers (movie makers). They have been doing world building for years and years and actually call it world building. Think of your favorite book and/or movie and what world was created for you to be a part of the story. According to Brandon Mull, New Your Times Best Selling Author, his top five pieces for world building are: Characters, relationships, trouble, decisions, and consequences. Click here to see a small video about his favorite pieces. By the way, Brandon Mull is the author for titles such as: "The Cany Shop War", "FableHaven", "Beyonders", and many more.

Here is a list of the 12 main core concepts that adilas.biz is built on. In their own way, each one of them contribute to the 3D and Business World Building concepts.

If you want more information about what pieces adilas.biz brings to the table, see this PDF link. This is what we call the adilas formula or adilas.biz 101. It mixes business functions, key player groups, and core concepts to give you the results you are looking for. The word "results" is pretty broad... it could mean many things... In reality, that is kinda the point. Think virtual world building... What is your environment? What are your data points? Where do you live? What will you encounter? What tools and features will you need? What does your world look like? What needs, demands, or trouble lurk there? How are you going to virtually play the game?

When you put it all together, guess what you get? You get adilas - all data is live and searchable! You dream it up, we'll help you wire it up! Your data, your world, your way!

To get more information on what we do and what we offer, we recommend this help file that explains our business model and what we call the adilas formula - adilas.biz 101.
