Super Invoice Line Item Search
This is the starting page for a report called the "super invoice line item search". It is basically a modified and expanded version of what we call the "advanced invoice search" page. Think of this report as being a big brother to the normal advanced line item search. The reason the name "super" was added is because this report actually allows even more flexibility and options than does the normal advanced search. Both reports search the invoice line items (sales and inventory items sold) but this one has a few more options and settings that may be applied as filters or settings.

One of the main differences between the two reports is this one allows for multiple settings of the same kind to be submitted at once. The normal advanced invoice line item search only allows for one setting at a time for certain filters. A couple of the new options that are included on this page and not on the advanced search page are: The ability to select multiple locations, multiple part categories, multiple invoice types, and multiple inventory types (items sold per line). This super report also allows for line item prices to be searched with more matching options (greater than, less than, and equals). The super search allows for lists of part numbers to be included and/or excluded from the searches. If you do use a list to limit the results, the system is setup to watch for commas. An example might be: Get all part number except for "Discount,Fee,Supplies".

No search criteria is required to do the search. However, if you don't provide any filters or search criteria, you will get every record in the entire database returned to you. Any text field with the value "All" or left blank will not be included in the search. The more filters you pass to the results page, the tighter your search will be. There are links from the results page to the correct invoices to view details, edit line items, or view history.

If you have the admin permission over invoices, there will also be options to export any and all of the data to a Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet) format. If you don't have access to a Microsoft Office product license (which includes excel), we recommend a FREE software solution called OpenOffice.org or view a help file with more info.
