Working With Time - Line Items
This is the working with time page. This page shows all of the time details but in a "working mode". This page is setup similar to the add/edit line items page for the main application items like invoices or expense/receipts (checks or bills). This page allows you to add/edit subs or functions of time, link to other time pieces or assignments (customer, vendor/payee, quotes, invoices), and do general "quick changes" for things like color changes, action status changes, etc.

Think of this page as the tweak it, play with it, or adjust it page. This page is very dynamic and will only show options according to the assigned master time template. If you want to edit any of the main time details, look for the "edit main" link at the top. This will take you to the main add/edit page for the current element of time (tons of options, fields, tools, and features).

To view the element of time without all of the extra links and buttons, look for the "printable" link. The printable element of time page will clean things up and takes off certain values that are not needed (things like drill-down links, buttons, forms, sort values, and modified flags).

If a sub, add-on, or function of time is needed... look for the correct "add" link to start the process (listed down the page per section). All subs or functions of time are added and updated on their own page with their own help file. If you are looking for a certain sub or function of time and you don't see it, you may need to check the master template settings. Only admin time users are able to update master time templates (cookie cutters).

If the current element of time allows quoting and invoicing, there will be a special button that says "add time to cart". Once fully invoiced, that button will disappear. When clicked, that button will pass the main time information over to the shopping cart where it may be turned in to a quote or invoice. There is some special functionality built-in to help quote and invoice time. Also, if you already have the element of time in the shopping cart and you make a change (color, title/caption, notes, assignments, action status, or subs), you may need to click the "add time to cart" button again to update the cart. The process is linked together (time to cart) but not automatically linked together. Basically, if you make changes and don't see them in the cart... click the add time to cart button again to refresh the cart. More than one element of time may be added to the shopping cart at a single time. If you see a link that says "group", it allows for multiple elements of time to be added to a cart in bulk.

Depending on your settings, this work with time page may be in a view only mode. If that is the case, you will be limited as to what you are able to do with time. You will be allowed to invoice and quote (depending on template settings), and make small changes but that may be it. This permission (if used) allows you to mostly look but not touch.
