Add/Edit Document
This is the add/edit page for what is called a custom document. Basically, it is an alias or pointer to the real document (form or pdf or other file) and the processing page (code to make them talk to each other). This page will double as both the add and edit page. To see what mode the page is in, check the bottom submit button and it will contain the word "add" or "edit".

These are the different fields and what they need and may contain:

1. Document Id - This is the key field and maintained behind the scenes. The value will be "new" in add mode and a real numeric value in the edit mode.

2. Document Display Name - Required. This is what the document will be displayed as (name to show in link or drill-down). The field has a max of 150 chars and a min of 2 chars.

3. Application Type - Required. Choose an application type from the list provided. This helps the system know where the documents should show up to be used.

4. Description - Required. This is where you tell a small story about what the document or form will be used for. Max of 255 chars and min of 2 chars.

5. Processing Page Name - Required. This is the actual name of the file that does the page processing. This has to be uploaded and built separately. Max of 150 chars and min of 4 chars.

6. Status - Required. This will only show up in edit mode. The status field helps the system know if the document is a current document or an old unused document. The status of active will allow users to use the document.

7. to 16. Title Caption(s) and Instruction Description(s) - Optional. There are 10 title captions fields and 10 instruction and description fields. Use these fields to help collect the correct information (hardcoded values). These captions are not the real values (data) but the captions or titles and explanations for the real values. They are all optional and have a max of 100 chars a piece for the title captions. The max is 255 chars for the instruction and description fields. If they are left blank, they will not be used. If they contain any data, they will show up on the document assignment pages. Ex: Box 15 - Owner's Name, Box 21(g) - Agent Number.
