Parts Inventory Report
This is a special parts inventory drill-down page that is capable of showing quantities and average costs according to the inventory look-back date. Use this page to do virtual look-backs on parts at any given time. The form at the top will control the output which will be shown below the main form. Additional drill-down links are provided to get further detail.

Possible Caution: There is a setting called the part status (the word parts or part number is a corp-wide setting that may be altered by you). This status setting will add a filter to the query so that the results will only show active part numbers. The caution comes in the fact that if you turn a part number to inactive (make it hidden or don't use it), there is no validation to make sure that the part number has a zero inventory level. What this means is even though a part is inactive (somewhat hidden from view), it still may have an active quantity or a value. These values, need to be reflected on the balance sheet even if the part number is set to inactive.

In order to clear these inactive items off the books, you may need to activate the items, do an inventory update, and then make them inactive again. This will help bring the quantity to a zero inventory level. Once the inventory values are updated, you would then need to write off those values to cost of goods or some other expense type. If you need more help with this, please contact us and we'll help you (see the contact link on this page).
