Questions about displaying flex grid: 1. Once the database has been searched and records are ready for display… then what? How do I make the results and report as small as I can and still show the fields that have data? There are close to 30 fields that are available, I would really like the reports to show between 5 & 15 fields. 2. Options: a. Start with the query results b. Somehow I need to get the length and value (numeric) for the different fields. c. I then need to figure out which fields to show. d. Maybe I could convert all values to numbers (use the length on strings) and then add them up (sums). Then do a check for sums at great than 0. If yes, add the values to an array. We would then be able to lip over the array and query. |

-Fast Sunday June 7th, 2009 – Fasting for help in deciding how to spend my time and options for making enough (sufficient for our needs) funds to pay bills and make our family go forward. Currently, we are really struggling and are barely making it. We have been very blessed and that is the only way we have been making it. -Maybe I could trade services or barter with folks to do things for them. Don’t know why I got this idea but was looking at the Tahoe outside and was thinking of ways to get a 3rd seat. Thought of a guy and how they have a Tahoe that has a 3rd seat and they don’t use it much. -One of the first things I saw this morning was the new H2 Zoom handy recorder and how much I would love to develop the adilas front end. I really want to get the theory and tutorials out to the public. The more we do here, the less training we would need to do, the more anybody (clients, potential clients, competition, etc.) would know and understand about our approach and our services. I really want to get it out there and help push the market. -My wife and I were driving home from taking her mother to the airport. On our way home we were talking about adilas and other options for getting money and making ends meet. We talked about moving, getting a more stable job, getting a side job, supplementing my current job (adilas developer), or just driving in deeper and fully focusing on getting adilas up and going. After talking over options, we (my wife’s idea) decided that we shouldn’t do anything drastic and should fast about options and approach the Lord as though we had decided to dedicate full-time to pushing on adilas. This is what we are doing. -On PO edit line items – show link to PO payments. Currently only on very PO page. PO’s & E/R’s Po date - e/r date Received date - pmt date Payment/paid date - verify date Verify date Deposits & Invoices Deposit date - invoice date Verify date - payment date - Deposit date (?) - What about permissions and searching the flex grid? - It would be best to control the permissions on the main search, then the user wouldn’t even have access to them. - What about doing a flex (type = 1 or all) search. How do I limit who gets to see what? |

Working on Corp History - I want to show at least two different reports: o Effectual – what shows up o Historical – who touched what - I want to keep things as simple as possible o There are 100’s of tables, 1,000’s or records, and tons of different application types. (K.I.S.S.) - On all reports, go from general, to details, to full drill-down. - Not all histories have a drill-down - Not all items have a date/stamp - Possible filters: date range, user, location (same), application type, corp (behind the scenes) - On general results I need the following: o Caption (item name/sub item) o Drill-down (link) o Count (record count) o Value ($ if any) o Destination (B.S., I.S., Both, N/A) - I want to switch very quickly between dates and report types - Maybe I need a basic search and an advanced search. - This may be the first report after clocking in/out that a manager views or looks at. Make it easy and effective. Default to current day with options to look back 1 day, 2 days, weeks, months, custom date range. - Because I want to switch between types and dates quickly. Maybe I need to have the search form be on the top of the page and the results on the bottom of the same page. - One of my main goals is to help users and managers be aware of what happened, who the players were, and what effect their actions had. - It would be really cool if the application helped the users know if the action effected B.S. or I.S. or General (no effect on financials). (Maybe even both B.S. & I.S.) - Once a date is pulled, if a date in the past, show a quick link for next and previous (meaning dates). - Similar to daily/weekly sales reports. Show the correct date heading and title for the reports. - On the historical report have options to group by application type or run exact history (chronological according to time stamp). |
