My side of the work may end up being consulting, graphic work, and helping with other bids and projects. Good phone call.

Shop 173 | Working with Garrett on Sub Inventory | 11/5/2015 | We did a 2.5 hour session from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Garrett was coding and I was helping with flow and requirements. Great session and we added a ton of new navigation and drill-down options. We also worked on coding the sub inventory to the smart group buttons. The other main thing we did was tie pages and logic between the parent and the sub inventory. Good session.
Shop 175 | Quoting for Hypur | 11/6/2015 | Dave and I quoted Hypur on two different projects. One is for a dynamic money type (options for the cart payment section) for Hypur. The other was for an admin error log for 3rd party solutions. See other elements of time for these quotes.

Shop 179 | Working WIth G to push code live. | 11/6/2015 |
:) Notes: Garrett ended up pushing up the code by him self. He pushed some new changes up to data 3 because it was Friday afternoon. We didn't want to bring the whole system down on Friday afternoon/evening. Busy time. We did end up with some errors and finally got them all fixed after a 2.5 hour session on Saturday morning. The errors were on sub inventory, bulk labels, printable quotes, and restoring quotes to cart. Garrett and Brandon worked together on Saturday to get the errors all taken care of. |

Shop 4071 | Virtual Post-It Note | 11/6/2015 |
5:00 - 5:15 Recording hours,notes,ideas. 5:15 - 5:45 Working on the web make payment page for safe harbor,Problems with the checkout process. 9:30 - 11:00 Went into Logan - trying to track down an error in the shipping and FedEx logic. Getting lost a bit. -Go back to paper and figure things out. 11:00 - 12:30 Working more on ecommerce shipping and getting things ready to go. I ended up commenting out the FedEx shipping code and posting files online. I need to go back to the drawing board and get a plan. Called and left a message for Keats at Safe Harbor that FedEx shipping was disabled. Posted some new files online. 12:30 - 1:45 Working with Bryan on doing column counts on the view cart page for a black box that he is working on. We had problems with new code for sub inventory. trying to bring things up to speed. 2:00 - 3:00 Went over to Icon Health and Fitness to do an inventory tracking demo. Dave Forbis and I went to the demo. The people who wanted to see things were the running shoe department called Altra Running shoes. We got a small tour of the admin offices and found a conference room. We did the demo and answered questions. It was kinda short, but I hope it did the job. It was hard to read the guys we were demoing. I couldn't tell if they liked it or disliked it. Kinda of interesting.Dave and I talked about a bunch of things on the way back to the office. 3:00 - 4:00 Helped Bryan and Daniel Swainston on their bulk populate PDF project. Basically they have 6 PDF documents that need to be saved per person. Kinda a fun project. I also worked with Dave Forbis on some quotes for dynamic money types and error logs for clients. I also worked with Alan on his project for switching between Flash and HTML for my cart favorite buttons. Alan is doing a great job and it is easy to follow his thought pattern and notes. All of my guys are doing much better as they start writing down notes and planning things out. I've been impressed. 30 miles. - Quick note, Bryan has really been making some leaps and bounds lately in his programming knowledge. - Things change all the time - root and anchor yourself in the concepts and doctrine, they will stay the same. The processes and procedures will change as needed. Make sure that you are anchored and rooted deep enough. |
|||
Shop 180 | Meet with Altra | 11/6/2015 |
Brandon and Dave went to Icon Health & Fitness (in Logan) to meet with the Altra Running Shoes department at Icon. We met with a couple of guys by the name of John and Chett from the sales division of the Altra section. We did a small demo and they wanted to see what was available by way of an EDI (electronic data interchange) or API socket type interfaces. Basically, they wanted to stay with their older system but push data to us to get at reports and other custom sales matrix and stats. Their current system did sales and provided lots of data but was not very flexible on the reports and building custom options. Interesting meeting. |
|||
Shop 182 | Bryan black box template setup | 11/6/2015 |
Bryan black box template setup Notes: This meeting got pushed back due to the fact that making a change would require numerous other changes on existing black boxes and existing pages. We did talk about some concepts but we did not do any major code changes. |
|||
Shop 4072 | Virtual Post-It Note | 11/7/2015 |
9:00 - 11:30 on the phone with Garrett going over errors and bug fixes for sub inventory. Lots of work with validation error handling, and standardization. We also had some good conversations about getting good data and logic higher on the page vs. right on the middle of the page output. - Went to a family history fair and Mindy Pratt was the presenter. What a good job - Simple PowerPoint, great ideas, and down to earth presentation. i loved it. I could using adilas for family history very easily using customers, elements of time, sub dates and time, sub notes and comments, flex grid, photos, and media content. 12:45 - 1:15 Recording notes. -BE YOURSELF |
|||
Shop 4073 | Virtual Post-It Note | 11/7/2015 |
- On sub inventory - we need to move all data pulls and logic up higher into main methods vs. running tons of things mid stream in the middle of the output. - Reconfigure the whole sub inventory thing to help it be smooth and easier to manage. -Pull all logic, counts, and settings before trying to do any out put. That way we could know what we need prior to doing any output. Basically, get the logic and data as preped as possible before out putting anything. That helps us separate logic, data, and display. |

There will be an accountant coming in to give us all a bunch of tax saving tips and tricks. Notes: The guys name was Jared and he did a little over an hour long presentation. Good stuff. We talked about soul proprietors, LLC's, S-Corps, C-Corps, etc. We went over piercing the corporate veil, home offices, mileage deductions, meal deductions, record keeping, and some other basic tax tips and tricks. One thing that he mentioned that caught my interest was about R&D for software development. There is actually a possible tax break for writing code and doing R&D. Anyways, we may need to check in to that later on. Good session. |

They would be a self-linking id number to help with subs and subs of subs. We will also add a sort value to help with sorting categories based on subs. We also talked about doing some light research to checkout how far this little database change would cascade. The original price tag on this project (time # 37) is $900. I was instructed by Dave to cut a check out the Adilas Shop checkbook for the first half or $450. See E/R # 53 for that first payment. |

Mostly concepts of one-to-many-relationships, players, groups, and mixing different pieces. Travis and Kristy were catching on pretty quick but Debbie doesn't know computers that well and you could see some panic in her tone,questions, and appearance. She seemed to relay as we went along and talked about options, features, and benefits of moving into a system and digital model. Great meeting and we set a model. Great meeting and we set a new meeting time for next Monday to present a full proposal and plan for what we will do for them. -(4:15 - 6:45)Went back to he office and told the guys about the meeting with Beaver mountain. I then worked with Daniel on some code sign off of Blum and Green Door out of California. The session went very well until we ran into a bug on one of the loyalty points calculations. Shop 236 | Phone call with Steve going over funding | 11/23/2015 | Steve and I chatted for over an hour on funding, a Kabbage.com loan, and ways to help things as we go forward. We are hoping to use this loan as somewhat of a start over or wipe the slate clean move. Anyways, good stuff.
Shop 239 | Push Code Live | 11/23/2015 | More work on project and found that we needed to filter the main queries a bit more. Too many records under certain situations. Unable to sign-off at this point.

Shop 215 | Meeting with Beaver Mountian to show our plan and proposal | 11/23/2015 |
We will be presenting our plan and proposal to Travis (mountain manager), Debbie (ski school director), and Kristy (office manager). At that point, we are hoping that we will get the full go ahead on the project. Notes: Daniel & Russell went with me to the meeting. Daniel did the main presentation and each of us chimed in at different times. We proposed 4 different options. They were: $1550 - simple internal fixes. $2300 - online class registration. $1000 - waiting list option using quotes. $2000 - adding in paperwork and digital waivers. At the end of the meeting. They were leaning towards the simple internal stuff plus the digital waivers. Also, by way of note, Kris Kofoed was there and helping out as well. Good meeting. We officially still don't have the full go ahead, but it is getting closer. |

Shop 242 | Working with Bryan signing off on consolidated payables and receivables | 11/23/2015 | Working with Bryan to limit the number of records coming back. Basically, we were looping over way too many records and it was crashing the page. Lots of experimenting to get things limited or paired down. We ended up tweaking the main method call to get rid of all of the crazy dynamics in the multi level loops that we were doing later on. Right before we finished, we got a call from Hypur and they needed some immediate help. Bryan had to work on some of the new changes by himself.

Also worked with Hypur on some testing and tax stuff. I helped Daniel prep for our meeting and wrote some bills. 1:30-3:00 Went to meet with the Beaver Mountain people about using Adilas to help track their ski school lessons. Daniel and Russell went with me. Daniel was the main presenter of our plan today. That was kinda fun. Russell chimed in and it was a good meeting. They are about to give us the go ahead. 3:15-4:15 Working with Bryan to get limited lists of customers for our special consolidated receivables reports. Lots of experimenting and trying things. 4:15-6:45 Working on the Hypur invoice collector API. Part of the time was on the phone with Ignacio from Hypur doing testing and trying to get things connected and passing correct data. We had to totally redo a whole portion of the code to make it work. 10:15-10:30 Recording notes in my notebook about the day. Busy times. 10:30-11:00 Fixing some new requests for Hypur and their invoice collector API. Added some cash contacts, changed due options, and added a new drop-down for merchant types as a part for the third party page settings. |

Shop 244 | payables consolidation- Bryan | 11/24/2015 | Bryan and I worked and got the first round of code done for the consolidation stuff. We salvaged code off of the branch and pushed things live. Prior to that, we did spend quite a bit of time limiting and filtering queries to help reduce the possible load for both payables and receivables. After we got things pushed, we spent some time talking about cycles, wages, and options for the future. Things have been pretty tight lately.

11/23/15 9:45-5:45 Went into Logan. Talked with Calvin for a while about progress and different projects. We are planning a session to work on his label wizard stuff after Thanksgiving. He seemed to be in good spirits. I worked with Alan Williams on Safe Harbor and flat rate shipping. Trying to follow logic in and through the ecommerse system. I then worked with Bryan and we signed off on his code for consolidated receivables and consolidated payables (multi corp financials). After that, Bryan and I talked about numbers and projects. He isn't making very much and things are tight right now. Things are tight around the board. 30 miles. 6:45-7:30 On the phone with Steve going over our days and where things are headed. We talked a lot about upcoming projects and funding options. I got approval to get our first business loan from an online funding company called Kabbage.com. We also talked a lot about our plans going forward and how we want to play. Good phone call. 8:30-10:45 Went in and applied for our first business loan from Kabbage.com. We are trying to get $30,000. All of that is going to go to developers to help pay off debt and work that has been done. As part of the process, I had to read a 15 page legal document and contract for the loan papers. I read, printed, and signed the loan agreement. It is a 12 month loan or line of credit. After that, I did some light budgeting of where the funds will go. |

Shop 245 | Hypur | 11/25/2015 | Nick and I worked on the 3rd party page. We added pagination, a new archive method, a loop to do the archives, we added a high universe level permission, and went over looping over structures and the form scope. Great session.
Shop 246 | Safe Harbor/Paypal and Fed-Ex | 11/25/2015 |
Keep chugging along! Notes: Alan and I met for a little over 3.5 hours. We did quite a bit of work on the flat rate shipping per line items. We also changed some admin corp-wide settings to help make the shipping stuff more clear. We added a number of visuals on the shipping info and added some logic to help auto clear the cart if no items have been found. We also worked on logic for both adding and updating a items in the cart. All of the new changes were somewhat dealing with shipping settings for ecommerce. |

6:15-6:30 Recording notes from yesterday from memory and from post-it notes. 6:30-9:00 Working on some changes to the Hypur API for the invoice collector. Made a number of changes and got on a phone call with Ignacio from Hypur to test and push things. Small GoToMeeting session over code. 10:15-5:45 Went into Logan to work with my guys. I had meetings with Nick Vaughn, Alan Williams, and Bryan Dayton today. Pretty quite and we got a lot done. Nick and I did a good two hour sessions on the third party error logs. We tightened up the page, added a new admin permission, looped ober things to help archive data, and added addition search options and functionality. We are thinking to use the new error log tool to track employees who clear shopping carts as well as other error logs. After that, I worked with Alan for over 3 hours on shipping settings for eCommerce. We were working on fixed notes, flat rates per item, and other shipping settings. I worked with Bryan on a custom invoice job for a company called A Touch of Style. They provided us an Excel based invoice and we had to convert ti into a web based invoice. Daniel was in today as well but working on his own projects. Quiet but busy day, 30 miles. 9:00-10:00 Online recording note inside of elements of time for the Adilas Shop. Clearing out the Brandon Time entries and appointments. |

Meeting at Calvin's house to work on ads, videos, stuff. Notes: Went out to Calvin's house and we worked on a bunch of stuff to help promote the label wizard. For fun, we talked about tons of other stuff besides work. We talked about past jobs, art, painting, joint projects, upcoming projects, etc. It was a nice casual day and we still got quite a bit done. Good stuff. |

7:00-8:00 Responding to texts and email. Going through elements of time and cleaning up the Brandon Time entries in the Adilas Time Shop site. 9:00-3:00 Went out to Lewiston to work with Calvin on his label Wizard product. The first hour and a half we just chatted and talked about projects, options and needs. We then got into the label wizard. We wrote down some specs, got YouTube video links and got some graphics coming back from Russell. I worked on YouTube media/content pieces and a new ad for Calvin. He worked on other projects and helped give me direction and feedback. Great day. I also got to know some more things about Calvin and some of his background. The day was busy but casual at the same time. 20 miles. 5:00-5:30 More work on Calvin's label wizard ad for the main login page. |

Shop 251 | Meeting with Danny Shuford to talk about CSS stuff | 11/28/2015 | Had a GoToMeeting session with both Danny and Steve to go over custom CSS and custom header/footers. Good session. We also tweaked a few things on Danny's local machine to help him get his development environment up to speed and ready to go. Good session.

2:00-4:00 See EOT #251 4:00-4:30 On the phone with Steve going over projects, funding, and direction. Lots of good stuff coming down the pipeline in the next couple of months. 5:15-8:00 Writing out checks and paying off thousands and thousands of dollars worth of payable owed to developers. We got a Kabbage.com business loan and spent the whole thing transferring debt from Adilas developers to the Kabbage business loan. That was good to get some of that all taken care of. This will also light a bit a fire under our rear ends to get things under control and all paid off. |

Shop 250 | Hypur Review/Sign off | 11/30/2015 | Met with Nick and we signed off on his code at his computer. We went through as much as we could and then we merged his files into master. We then worked on my computer to go through the integration process. We spent some time working on the history capture of the clear cart action. Good session.
Shop 254 | Custom invoice- Bryan | 11/30/2015 | Answered some small questions for Bryan on his custom invoice for A Touch of Style. The invoice format was taken from an MS Excel document. It has certain requirements and specific formatting. Basically, I was just helping Bryan with some direction and where to get the information and data.
Shop 247 | Working with Steve on sub inventory | 11/30/2015 | Worked with Steve on sub inventory. We spent a lot of time tracing steps and trying to figure out what values were what. We ran into some errors and ended up starting back at the very beginning. We are trying to smooth out the process. The biggest frustration was dealing with different coding styles and trying to interpret intentions and direction. Good session.
Shop 252 | Working on sales page | 11/30/2015 |
working on sales page Notes: Russell opted to give the session to Nick so that we could finish up the sign-off for Hypur and the 3rd party error logs. Alan allowed us to take up an hour of his time as well in order to finish up. Nick and I added all of the code to help catch the clear cart logic as well as the normal Hypur API calls and possible errors there. Good session and we got it done to the level that I signed off on the project. |

Shop 256 | Code Sign off | 11/30/2015 |
Sign off code for Flash/HTML buttons Notes: Worked with Alan and started into the process. Lots of detail work. We worked with the login and session stuff, we then spent most of our time working on the new my settings (personal settings) for switching between flash and HTML buttons. The other new setting was dealing with who's my cart favorites to use by default. Anyways, a great session and lots of talk about flow, detail, and how we can work together as a team. I'm kinda worried about how detailed I tend to be. I really need help, and we need detail, but how much is needed and how much is healthy? Those are the questions. I almost take things to a non healthy level due to details and almost an OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) level. We'll have to find a good mixing point and a good balance. |

11/30/15 5:15-5:30 Emails and small to do list stuff. 8:15-8:45 Emails and light follow up on things. 10:00-7:00 Went into Logan. Got Russell his checks and talked with him a bit about pros and cons of having help. We talked about some of the challenges and Russell just listened. I worked with Nick on sign-off for the 3rd party error logs. We started getting in to integration for the clear cart logic. Next I spent a 2 hour block with Steve working on sub inventory and helping it to be a smoother process. Lots of tracing steps and trying to figure out what is needed and how we can help. Encountering some small errors, problems, and difference in coding techniques. Working through things. After that, Nick and I did another session on the 3rd party error logs. We added all the code for catching clear cart actions as well as actual Hypur API call errors. The clear cart session took a bit of time as we had to break things up into smaller pieces in order to show both main details and individual line items. After that session with Nick, I worked with Alan Williams for about 2 hours on his new settings for switching the normal Flash my cart favorite cart buttons with a non Flash or plain HTML and CSS type button. We got into the details and started at the source of the change dealing with new personal settings. Busy day today. The other thing that was going on today was Bryan was working on an a custom invoice layout or A Touch of Style. It included a special layout, photos for line items, back order stuff, shipping stuff, etc. It is looking pretty good. 9:30-9:45 On the phone with Eric talking about some new rounding logic for the shopping cart for some of his clients. Basically, the code forces the cart to a straight dollar value with no extra cents or change. |
